It's Friday morning and am feeling superlazy today. I have not been experimenting any new dishes but cooked some breakfast for my hubby last week. Here's a recipe of my version of French Toast: (Serves 2)
Ingredients:
4 pieces of bread (white or wholemeal, the latter is healthier!)
1 large egg
2 tbsp fresh milk
2 tbsp McCormick Italian Herbs Mix
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp high quality butter
1 tsp oil
Fruit Jam, Honey, Butter
Method:
- Crack the egg and stir with a fork. Add in the milk, herbs mix, and a dash of salt and pepper
- Get a non stick pan on a burner under low heat. Heat 2 tbsp butter with the oil. It is a good practise to add a little bit of oil while heating butter in order to prevent the butter from burning
- Dip the bread into the mixture but do not let the bread soak it
- When u see bubbles forming on the pan, fry the bread. Allow 2-3 minutes for one side to cook
- Serve in a plate together with fruit jam, honey and butter
