11. French Toast

It's Friday morning and am feeling superlazy today. I have not been experimenting any new dishes but cooked some breakfast for my hubby last week. Here's a recipe of my version of French Toast: (Serves 2)

Ingredients:
4 pieces of bread (white or wholemeal, the latter is healthier!)
1 large egg
2 tbsp fresh milk
2 tbsp McCormick Italian Herbs Mix
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp high quality butter
1 tsp oil
Fruit Jam, Honey, Butter

Method:
  1. Crack the egg and stir with a fork. Add in the milk, herbs mix, and a dash of salt and pepper
  2. Get a non stick pan on a burner under low heat. Heat 2 tbsp butter with the oil. It is a good practise to add a little bit of oil while heating butter in order to prevent the butter from burning
  3. Dip the bread into the mixture but do not let the bread soak it
  4. When u see bubbles forming on the pan, fry the bread. Allow 2-3 minutes for one side to cook
  5. Serve in a plate together with fruit jam, honey and butter
